PeaceAction Montgomery

This
is a wonderful organization in Montgomery County, Maryland working
to end the war in Iraq. As they say on their website: "Imagine a world
in which conflict is resolved through nonviolent means, and justice,
equity, and compassion describe human relations."
Ah, if only
we didn't have to just imagine it!

The AB/CD
|

Steve Carr of
Hit an Run studios created the AB/CD a few years ago. As he plains
on his website: "The A/B CD takes the complete recording process and
breaks it down to its individual components. Within each component,
it compares the actual sounds of commonly used equipment and production
choices like "analog vs. digital" to each other. The A/B CD allows
you to hear and decide for yourself what things make a big difference
and what things make little difference in a recording's sonic quality."
If you want to be enlightened as to what equipment really does and
does not matter in a recording studio, get a copy of this CD. You
won't believe it.
Currently I am helping Steve edit the book that
is to go along with this CD. Stay tuned for further information in
that regard. It is a truly incredible thing he has done! |

Pyle

What
can I say? Bob is the only artist I know who can talk a classical
violinist who plays a Stradavarius into playing solos like the
Skillet Lickers on a song about mutated spam. He currently is working
on his latest album on which I play guitar, bass, and sing back up.

Bob Pyle. You really need to see it. It's wonderfully done.

Yikes McGee
|

|
|
Yikes is a great friend and protest singer. As he says about
himself, "My protest songs are a result of an unrelenting desire to
have a direct hand in the downfall of Bush. I am driven to seek an
end to the national nightmare, and a trend toward more liberal and
progressive policies for peace and justice in the world."
